  Part One: So many things went wrong with my experience with Dreibelbis Construction and Isaac that it is truly hard for me to put it all down in a coherent manner.
  Don’t get me wrong, I do still believe that Isaac is a “good guy”. Yes, he lied out his teeth to cover up the fact that his business was going under, but I feel he had (mostly) good intentions. He tried to grow his business too fast, over extended himself, and my house got caught in the middle. If he had actually been the one doing the building, I think a lot of the issues would not have happened. (and if his mind was on my project and not on his livelihood as a contractor and juggling maxed out credit lines) instead he had two guys most of the time slowly working on my project and he would stop by for a few minutes now and then.
  In the state of PA I, as the home owner, basically have no protection from a contractor declaring bankruptcy and just walking away leaving me with half a house and no kitchen.
  So, during this entire debacle we tried to insure his guys continued the work, even if it meant I had to constantly go to Isaac and say “wasn’t this supposed to be done differently” (and pull out the original contract to prove it). We needed our house back and he already had most of our money. If there was any way to get him to finish the project (despite massive flaws) it was better than being almost homeless in the dead of winter.
  Here are just a few of the issues we had with Dreibelbis Construction during our kitchen remodel (in no particular order)
  Destruction of the old kitchen consisted of them using a backhoe to simply RIP it off the house while there was still live electrical and connected plumbing! I came home to live electrical wires hanging from the back of my house and no power in half of it. Isaac said “that’s how we always remove old additions” when I asked why it was not done by hand and with any care. Of course, he apologized for the electrical but it was a little late at that point. I guess I should be happy my house didn’t burn down before I got home and turned off the power.
  
  Isaac did not provide his guys with a toilet. It has become overtly clear, now that it is warmer, that they took to pissing in my shed!! (It is a dirt floor with no door) I don’t think I need to explain why I know. Additionally, this makes me wonder about the urine smell that emanates from under my new addition on occasion!!!
  
  Garage door hinges installed upside down. Two of them broke in the first week. The other two leave the door with a two-inch swoop in it when closed. Tried to get Isaac to fix it but of course that never happened since he had already been paid.
  
  The outer wall had to be re-built THREE times because the windows were first, in the wrong place, then the wrong size, and finally, framed for a full-length window right were the sink was going.
  Flat ceiling ended up over an inch off over 12 feet. Causing the crown molding on the cabinets to be an inch above the doors on the left and just not touching the doors on the right. This was new construction, there is no reason it should not have been level.

  Main water hookup was a piece of pex inbetween cooper and iron pipe. I came home to find their connection leaking all over my basement! After asking him to fix it, I spent my weekend doing it myself. I do not believe that his “plumber” even know how to solder copper pipes. They used “shark-Bites” instead. Shark-Bites are not permanent connections. Code does not allow them to be enclosed in a wall for this reason.
  
  Outlets on the counter are at two different heights. They forgot to install two under the bar and could no longer make them the same as the others.
  
  They forgot to install a switch for the garbage disposal. They ran an outlet but never stopped to think how was I going to turn it on. Additionally, (and I am not sure how this is even possible) right now, to turn off the
